A few times each year, some members of Weller UMC take a trip to Mission Central in Mechanicsburg, PA. Mission Central is an organization working in a warehouse that provides resources to groups who are doing humanitarian work locally, across the country and around the world. Additionally, they stand ready to respond to all weather-related disasters or emergencies that occur.
Weller UMC is blessed to be one of the over 180 churches and local businesses who work together to help make the operation of Mission Central possible. If you haven’t joined us for one of these trips yet, give it a try! There is always plenty to do and all are welcome to join us. There are seated jobs available for those who prefer it.
Those who wish to be more active can work in the warehouse, filling emergency cleaning buckets, organizing supplies, etc. If anyone has unwanted computers or computer parts, you may donate them at WUMC and we will take them for refurbishing and distribution to non-profit organizations.
